We as a family have had this vision and calling on our lives and in our hearts for about 25 years. Finally, we stepped out of the boat, and planted a church, right here, in your neighborhood.
WE ARE DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE OUR 'New Church' "Scepter Ministries"
Our heart is to do Gods Work. Part of it is to "train up a child in the way he should go and he will not depart from it", This we will achieve in setting up Sunday Schools / or teaching during the week. Another is to teach he word of God, we therefore registered a bible School, which is operational as early as 2010.
Prayer is our key anchor, and we have already established our corporate prayer meetings twice a week in the early mornings.
Of course we do not neglect the gathering of the Saints, and therefore have Church services on Sundays. We feel it is important to belong to a church, to fellowship and meet new people. Once the congregation grows, we will establish Cell Groups or Home Churches, where we will meet in groups in the homes of the congregation, and have worship, teaching and fellowship.
Our long-term vision is to set up a Christian nursery School / pre-school and Christian Primary and Secondary Schools as well. our school will have a strong Christian influence, where we will instill God's precepts and teach Godly ethics.
Because music plays such a big role in our lives, we will ensure that learning a musical instrument will be compulsory for our students, and will be an added subject. (how will they know if they are not exposed to it)
Mission work, not up Africa or in China, but in our back yard where it is needed the most, will be a major part of our involvement. We would love to enrich and impart into the lives of those that are less privileged than we are.
God willing, eventually, we can look after our old folk and build them their own safe havens, We will not be closed to whatever God leads us to do.
